Shotgun Classes

Basic Shotgun is The Modern Technique as applied to the defensive shotgun. Student will learn how to be in command of one of the least-understood but most prolific systems available. 

Effective out to and beyond 100 meters, the defensive shotgun’s flexibility and versatility demands a special set of manipulation skills, making it a “thinking person’s” firearm.

Student will learn the ability to make ammunition selection, continuity of fire, malfunction clearances, and transition to the handgun. In the home, on the road, or on duty, this shotgun class will provide the unique skills to be highly effective.

This class will give you authoritative command of the shotgun. Students will deliver maximum energy to the target in the minimum amount of time. Here we will work increasingly complex tactical problems.

One handed and extensive support side operation of the shotgun, longer distances utilizing rifled slugs, introduction to other intermediate shooting positions, and other challenges in this fast paced 2 day finishing class for   the shot gunner!

This Ladies Shotgun class is the Modern Technique of the shotgun, for those ladies whom want to learn to be safe and to begin acquiring firearms skills. 

Ladies  shotgun will provide women with the skills to manage their equipment safely and begin the learning process to protect themselves and their loved ones.   

Upon completion of the “Ladies’-Only Shotgun” class, you’ll be safe and able to recognize and avoid or deal with a real-life threat. Most women record this experience as “life changing” with newfound confidence and an identifiable loss of fear of firearms.

This will pick up where the Ladies’ Shotgun 1 left off. Shooting will be done from both on and off the body. Demonstrations of various carry methods will be explained and utilized.

Alternative defensive weapons such as chemical agents will be discussed. There will be additional scenarios both indoor and out.

This class encourages ladies to be in charge of their environment and refuse to be a victim!

Skill at arms is a perishable skill. TFD has added the Shotgun Range Day to the schedule which gives prior students an opportunity to come out to the range and shoot with an instructor for 8-hours. 

Basic level exercises are led by a TFD Range Master in a safe and controlled atmosphere. 

Students determine what skills they need more development on during this class.

Targets are provided.

Ammunition: no minimum requirement

TFD has added Range Days to the schedule which gives graduates of the respective discipline an opportunity to come out to the range and shoot with an instructor for 16-hours.

 Basic level exercises are led by a TFD Range Master in a safe and controlled atmosphere. 

Students determine what skills they need more development on during this class.
